Our Adoption Process

We have on the spot adoptions at our physical location and at PetSmart. Our adoption personnel will ask a list of pertinent questions, then if they feel comfortable with the answers you will be offered an adoption form to complete with a follow up form and an adoption contract to complete the paperwork. Our agreement with all adopters is that we are always there to help you after adoption and can be contacted on the telephone for help and/or advice. 

Please keep in mind, our philosophy of adoption is that you are adding a new member to your family. This is a long-term (10-20 years) relationship that you are embarking. IF this seems overwhelming or unreasonable, please do not adopt a pet. Animals are NOT disposable, they are a lifetime commitment.

Where to Adopt 

​Kittyland, Desert Hot Springs 

We adopt our adult cats from our physical location in Desert Hot Springs. Please come out and meet our adult and senior cats, this is the best way to get to know your potential new best furry friend. All of our cats have very different personalities. We can help introduce you to one of our cats that will meld into your life.  Ann or Jeannette will be available to help you at the Kittyland Shelter. This is by appointment only.

PetSmart, Palm Springs

Kittyland adopts cats and kittens from our PetSmart, Palm Springs location. Our contact people at PetSmart for adoption at this time is Tina who is available at the store Friday, Saturday and Sunday from noon until 4 pm. Any other day is by appointment.
